Some links on Job Risk Index — typically to online courses and certification programs — are affiliate links. This page explains what that means, plainly. Last updated: July 2026.
If you open a course link marked as sponsored and enroll or purchase, the platform (for example Coursera or DataCamp) may pay us a commission. You never pay extra — the price is identical with or without our link. Affiliate links on this site carry the rel="sponsored" attribute, and course sections that contain them include a short disclosure note.
Course recommendations are derived from each profession's data — the skills worth acquiring, the software employers expect, and the lower-risk roles worth pivoting to — never from what a platform pays. Risk scores, timelines and rankings are computed from our own data pipeline: official research combined with live job-posting signals we collect and verify weekly, as documented on the methodology page and are not influenced by affiliate relationships in any way.
